Friendship Forged on the Camino de Santiago
August 5, 2023 by Sarah Chen
When I set out on the Camino de Santiago, I thought it would be a solitary journey of reflection. I couldn't have been more wrong. On the second day, I met Clara, another woman in her fifties walking to find her own answers. We fell into step, and soon, we were sharing our life stories, our hopes, our fears.
We supported each other through blisters and exhaustion, through moments of doubt and moments of pure joy. We laughed until we cried and cried until we laughed. That friendship, born on a dusty path in Spain, is one of the most precious souvenirs I brought home. It taught me that we are never truly alone on our path.
